1. Scope & Principles
This Privacy Policy applies to all users (Customers, Service Providers, and Visitors) interacting with the ProConnect mobile applications, web portals, APIs, and services. We strictly adhere to the Nigerian Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and international privacy frameworks.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information necessary to deliver verified, escrow-protected on-demand services:
- Account Credentials: Full name, phone number, email address, profile avatar, and encrypted password hash.
- Biometric & Identity KYC: National Identity Number (NIN), government ID documents, and 3D facial liveness scans processed securely via our identity partner.
- Geographic & Location Data: Real-time device GPS coordinates to calculate artisan arrival distances, dispatch emergency requests, and render map routes.
- Financial & Payout Data: Paystack tokenized card authorizations, NUBAN bank account numbers, and transaction ledger histories. (We do not store raw CVV codes).
- Job Artifacts & Communications: Before/after repair photos, in-app encrypted messages, and customer ratings/reviews.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Matching service requests with qualified nearby artisans.
- Securing payment authorizations in escrow and processing automated bank disbursements.
- Executing 3D facial liveness detection and fraud prevention.
- Providing live turn-by-turn navigation and arrival notifications.
- Investigating and arbitrating dispute claims between customers and providers.
4. Identity Verification
To guarantee safety across the marketplace, all Service Providers and Customers must complete identity verification. Facial biometric scans and government NIN records are matched securely through KYC pipelines. ProConnect does not sell or distribute identity credentials to third-party marketers.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain account data for as long as your account is active to maintain your transaction and escrow history. You may request full account deletion and data scrubbing at any time by contacting our privacy officer at [email protected].
6. Your Data Rights under NDPR
As a ProConnect user, you have the right to:
- Access and request a copy of your personal records and transaction logs.
- Rectify inaccurate personal profile or bank account details.
- Object to or restrict certain automated data processing.
- Lodge complaints with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
